Romeo et Juliette tells the timeless story of two young lovers in Verona whose romance is doomed by the bitter feud between their families. Despite their deep love, rivalry and violence lead them towards a tragic and inevitable fate.
With a libretto inspired by William Shakespeare's play, Charles Gounod's lyrical and expressive score brings every emotion of this iconic love story to life. In this production, director Julia Burbach and set designer Cécile Trémolières create a poetic world where love, conflict and destiny intertwine.
